Distribution
Native to: Colombia
On the Pacific Coast and western slopes of the Western Cordillera in Colombia, at 427(0-1150) m elevation in lowland to montane rainforest. All specimens from higher elevations on the western slopes of the Western Cordillera appear intermediate between this subspecies and G. interrupta subsp. magnifica, and may represent hybrids.
